As many of you may have heard, JP was recently hospitalized for an infection in his right knee. After a short stay at the hospital in Bemidji, he and Cammy decided to transfer to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota to receive a more thorough assessment and treatment for the infection.
As I write this, the news from the physicians is positive. While JP has a recovery period ahead of him that will prevent him from being at camp the rest of the session, he is in good spirits. His positive outlook and great physical condition are certainly allies to his recovery.
Cammy has set up a guestbook and journal at CaringBridge.com for JP. If you have a minute, please visit the site and leave a message. I know he'll enjoy hearing from you.

I'm glad to hear that he's recovering well. He'll be back up at Camp bellowing from the tennis court before you know it. Come to think of it, it's a little quiet without you here, JP. Get well soon!
JP and Cammie,
The tennis courts are still active but definitely lack some booming loudness. Get better and get back up here.
The fishing has been spectacular again this session. I was finally able to find Lydick Lake and we really did well for bass out there. We also went out last night on Little Bass and caught sunfish, crappie, northern, walleye and a load of bass- two of which would surely compete with the two in the dining hall. Very exciting fishing! Patrick Hornung wrestled in the largest of them, an absolute monster! We will get some photos up soon.
Take care,
Sam
Hey JP! Just got back from Hook Island and was happy to hear that you're getting better!
